My Time Made "Berry Sweet" & Easy

Hi friends!  I'm back to share another fun project for the My Time Made Easy April release.  Today I used Lauren's new Berry Sweet Basket with my new stamp set, Occasional Labels, my Rosey Posey Rosettes cut file, and two of Lauren's older stamp sets, Tending the Garden and Take Time

The finished basket is GINORMOUS!  I was very pleased with the size...you can fit a ton of stuff in this thing.  It was perfect for a little relaxation gift I wanted to put together for a friend who is visiting this weekend.  This is holding shampoo/body wash, lotion, body butter, a candle and a rolled wash cloth...AND, I have room to spare!

Two fellow designers inspired this creation, though they probably don't know it :]  First, my color scheme was inspired by a project that Monique Hansen put together for last month's MTME release.  Check out her stunning bird cage!  Isn't it fabulous?  LOVE how fresh and cheerful these colors are together...I knew it wouldn't be long before I used them :]  Second, the ribbon I slid through the diamond pattern, was inspired by our amazing guest designer, Amy Sheffer, who used this technique on her basket a few days ago.  I so loved the idea, I just couldn't resist using it on my project!  Hope you ladies don't mind me CASEing parts of your projects :]

I double looped my ribbon in front and adhered a pretty prima to the center.  My label was was created with my Occasional Label cut file and Occasional Labels stamp set.  I stamped the solid label in a lighter coral ink, and then stamped the gingham in a darker coral.  I used the same darker coral to stamp the center oval.  I then stamped my sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and stamped the fancy floral swag from the Tending the Garden set.  I colored the tiny blooms with my SU markers.

Here's a view of the back where you can really see the pretty, Fresh Cut Expressions - Collection 2 paper that I used for the inserts.  If you know me, you know I'm fond of dimension on my projects.  That being said, I wasn't happy with my inserts flush against the basket...I wanted to really showcase the pretty diamond pattern, so I adhered the inserts with dimensional tape.  This allowed the camera to capture the little diamond shadows ;]

I used the same paper to cut my Rosey Posey Rosettes, and I used my Fanciful Flowers cut file for the base bloom cut from the same pack of paper.  I decided to forego using a handle on my basket and instead, left it open.  I used green "snaps" to cover the two holes on the inside of the basket and give it a more polished look.

That's really all there was to my basket.  The thing I love the most?  The fact that this LOOKS intricate and complicated, but it goes together in a JIF!  So simple...really.

A few of my fellow designers are posting today also, so be sure to check out their stunning works of art ♥
