MTME & Just Us Girls {Sketch} Challenge #78

Happy Saturday, my friends :]  I'm so happy it's the weekend!  I'm ready to do some spring cleaning and rejuvenate after this extra LONG week!  It's day 3 of the April My Time Made Easy release, and also our JUGS78 sketch challenge, hosted by Kathryn!  Check out her fab sketch:
So many possibilities with this one...it's SURE to inspire you all!  I used one of my new stamp sets, Sentimental Occasions, to build my sentiment.  It's a sad one, but unfortunately necessary for a friend who lost his wife recently.  I wanted to keep my card bright but sympathetic.  I didn't want anything dreary, you know?  So, I used Collection 2 from my new, Fresh Cut Expressions paper.  Isn't is fresh?  I cut my circle and scalloped layer with large Nesties, sponged with So Saffron, and added the Branching Out cut file above my stamped sentiment.  I stitched some buttons right to my circular panel to add dimension.  My top and lower scalloped strips were cut from my MTME Border Builders Open Scallop cut files.  I cut them from my patterned paper to keep everything cohesive.  My ribbon is MS and was a steal at Michaels one day - on clearance for like a dollar!  The Warm Apple Cider cs is from Couture Cardstock, BUT, if you don't have this complementing cs, don't fret...SU's Tangerine Tango is a beautiful match to the printed paper.
That's really all there was to my card.  Pretty simple when all is said and done.  Be sure to stop by our fab designers' blogs for some more inspiration this weekend!
