Good Works Wall Hanging

Wow, is it really ONLY Friday! I love it when my days off seem to drag on :O) I don't know why I made another project for the SCS color challenge (CC199)...I guess it's because of a thought I had while I was at the bookstore last night. I was relaxing drinking hot chocolate, eating some quiche, and perusing some craft magazines and a thought came to me. What if I used the So Saffron paper to create a sunset of sorts by sponging the sky in Baroque Burgundy and the ground in Forest Foliage (I need to invest in the real colors for the challenge...see previous post :O) followed by stamping grass in the foreground? Well, when I got home I remembered the thought and gave it a shot. It seemed to work out pretty well, so I went with it.

I was intent on making a card with the SCS sketch challenge (SC209) also, so I forced it to work with my image. It didn't happen last night...I had to go back to it this morning to figure out how to make it work, but I pulled it together :O) It's definitely not to scale with the sketch, but it's the basic idea.

More details and supplies are listed in my SCS gallery.

Hope you are enjoying time off as well!

Kristin, this is gorgeous!!!

I love it, and what a wonderful gift for someone to recieve, or to hang on your own wall!!!

I have wondered what to do with the Grass in that set and this is perfect!!!

Lovely work, and great creativity.

Things like this are reasons for us crafters to carry around note pads to jot down ideas and sketches, I have not started that, but there have been times when I wished I either had a camera or a note pad to take a picture or jot an idea down!!!

Lovely!
