Morning Soft and Copics...FINALLY :)

So, I finally started purchasing Copic markers. Yes, yes...I'm getting with the times :O) I have no idea how to use them, other than a couple of tutorials I watched - speaking of which. If you are a Stampin' Up! demonstrator you have to watch Lauren Meader's tutorial! She had me cracking up when I watched her video and she started talking about customers using her SU! markers when she was a demonstrator :O)

Anyway...I know there are cheaper places to buy them (not much though), BUT, when you purchase over $55 at Papertrey Ink, shipping is free, AND they group the markers into shades that complement their signature colors! So, whether you use their colors or not, it's cool knowing the set of three you purchase will work well together. They charge $16 a set or $6 each.

I used the Sweet Blush set for my Morning Glories and the New Leaf set for the leaves. I don't believe the patterned paper is Sweet Blush, but I like how it looks anyway :O) Oh, and after I watched the tutorials, I found that it is imperative to have a colorless blender...which I don't! So, please be gentle :]

I also used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge (MTSC34) for the layout. It's definitely not to scale, but I like it :O)

That's all I have for you today! I hope to work on some more projects over the next few days. Hope you had a fun, craft-filled weekend!

Awe man! I took comfort knowing you and I were the last two people on earth who don yet own copics! ;) I agree and am totally tempted to get the PTI color grouped sets of copics so I am sure to fall soon. THis card is extraordinary and just goes to show it is not the colorless blender that makes a great artist, it is the artist herself!

Well, don't feel bad---I am a newbie at copics, too! I am a better watercolorer than copic-er!!!

Beautiful coloring Kristin - this was one of the first stamp sets I colored when I got my copics and it turned out SO pretty. You did a great job on yours and you will only get better and better as time goes on. I was much better at OMS coloring but I'm catching on.
TFS.

Shut Up!!! Ok, I'm having a really REALLY hard time not totally hating you right now. I've had Copics for MONTHS and I still suck at them. You color one flippin' image and you ROCK!! {jealous}.

Be Gentle....I think you are a natural! This is beautiful! I think you made a card with this image a while back and I really liked it then too! Great job with the copics!
